Platinum Play: The Benefits

The Platinum Play promotions are great. They are very nearly in line with their sister site, just not quite to the same standard. There is no new member deposit bonus with Platinum Play as such, instead you will be given a load of free bets to play on the slot machines. This is okay, but it doesn’t do anything for those who prefer to play table games such as blackjack, roulette and craps.

There are also regular promotions that offer great prizes. Not so long ago you could win a cruise, and at the time of writing there is a promotion that offers all Platinum Play members the chance to win a Porsche. These promotions may be seen as gimmicky to some, but we love them and think they add an extra element of excitement.

The progressives on Platinum Play are fantastic, as they are on all Digmedia online casinos. There is regularly over $10 million offered, with the vast majority of that lumped into the Mega Moolah game, a game that gives away a bonus that often exceeds $8 million. Other games with big bonuses, topping $100,000, include Major Millions, Cyberstud Poker and King Cashalot. The only issue with these jackpots is that we didn’t really enjoy these games. They were okay, but as far as the best games on the Platinum Play site go, these were not them. The games we enjoyed the most didn’t even have progressive jackpots, but there are big bonus rounds and potential wins on all of their games, so we can’t complain about that.

Away from that, there is no shortage of games on offer and this is also one of the most trusted sites you are likely to encounter, backed by a big name with a huge deal of experience in the online casino industry. Platinum Play, as with all of the Digimedia websites, has a great loyalty bonus, genuinely one of the best we have ever seen. In fact, they actually have two, due to the fact that they are backed by Fortune Lounge Group who also offer an extra scheme for all of their customers. This means that if you were to join both Platinum Play and Royal Vegas, you could build towards some hefty cash back on Fortune Lounge with every pull of a slot on both of these sites, whilst the individual sites would also give you separate cash back incentives.

Platinum Play: The Downsides

The downsides to Platinum Play are limited, but we would say that we prefer the new member bonus offered by their sister site and we think that they have let themselves down here. We would prefer money to the free bets on offer and although they did offer money not too long ago, the amount they offered was still higher on their sister site. This is our main gripe, and if they changed this bonus so it was more in line with Royal Vegas, then they would score a lot higher.

As far as the games and the banking options go, we don’t have any issues at all. In fact, we really tried to find some downsides here and we struggled. We could argue for the lack of optional extras, such as bingo, sports betting, etc., but we’d really just be nit picking.

As we have already mentioned, Platinum Play is part of the Digimedia brand, one that owns Royal Vegas Casino and a number of other online casinos. If not for this, and if not for the aforementioned casino, then we might have scored Platinum Play higher. Platinum Play is a fantastic casino and it barely puts a foot wrong, but we found ourselves comparing it to its sister site Royal Vegas Casino, and that’s where it struggled.

There is not a huge difference between Platinum Play and Royal Vegas, but the latter does have the upper hand in several areas. One of these is the aesthetics of the site itself, as we prefer Royal Vegas, and the other is in the new member bonus, as Platinum Play is a little on the short side by comparison.

This seems unfair, as we might have scored Platinum Play top marks (or near enough) if we didn’t know of the existence of their sister site, but we did know and we were a little disappointed as a result. Still, there is no reason why you shouldn’t join both of these sited as we have done, taking advantage of both of the bonuses on offer. They both have great VIP schemes as well, rewarding loyalty, so make sure you stick with one of them in the end.
