Super heroes are in high demand these days. They appear in movies, television, comic books, and even online slots machine. Sometimes they’re branded slots, but more often than not, the creative developers of these games have to use their imagination and come up with something fresh. That’s exactly what the crew over at Play’n Go did when they developed their latest release.

The new Iron Girl Slot went live this morning for desktop and mobile at Play’n Go online casinos. As the name suggests, it’s got an iron clad hero of the female persuasion. Johan Törnqvist, CEO of Play’n Go, was particular thrilled by his team’s rendering of their first 3D slot machine.

“3D graphics are getting very popular in slot gaming, but we didn’t want to rush right into using them just because the option was there,” said Törnqvist. “We wanted to make sure we had the right game and that it would look perfect!”

The main character is a spunky little thing, donning an orange metallic suit, a cropped aviator’s leather jackpot and short pink hair. Her hero form is magnified by an iron, winged suit of armor. She’s on the lookout for four wanted villains of alien descent. Together, they make up the game’s highest paying symbols, with some techno-style playing card suits on the lower end.

The slot machine has a standard reel set of 5×3 with 20 fixed paylines. Cost per play ranges from $0.20 up to $100. Iron Girl has a 96% RTP and a high volatility, rated 9 out of 10. There’s potential for some massive wins, but hit frequency is going to be a lot lower.

Iron Girl is the wild, and does the usual job of helping create wins. Lining up 3, 4 or 5 alike symbols on a line will result in a payout, but the real goal is to line up a combination of villain symbols. Matching villains will award higher payouts, of course, but also grant a free Respin with all matching villains held in place.

Iron Girl Online Slot Respin Feature Held villains are captured by Iron Girl and collected in a meter that displays over the reels. If another matching villain or Iron Girl wild appears on the respin, it is collected and another respin will occur. Respins continue until no new matching villain of wilds appears.

If 8 villains are held, two Iron Girl wilds will appear in random locations on the reels. Collecting additional villains will unlock the multiplier feature, in which the total prize awarded during the respin will multiply by up to 5x.

The Iron Armor Feature can trigger at random in the base. This can only occur at the end of a spin where there are no wilds or winning combinations. When it does, the main character’s iron armor suit will fly onto the screen, adding up to 5 randomly positioned wilds to the reels.

There are no free spins or second-screen bonuses to speak of, but the entertainment value is all there and the 3D graphics are a nice touch. Overall, Play’n Go did a great job delving into new territory with its choice to create a female super hero slots game.
