Casino games that require skill to maximize odds of winning.

Casino Games that Require Skill to Increase Your Odds of Winning

Gambling amusements are often categorized by their characteristics. Machines versus tables is the most common. Today, we’re going to divvy them up between skill games and non-skill games; that is to say, those that give a player better odds of winning with skill/strategy applied, as opposed to those that do not.

Before we get into the meat and potatoes of today’s topic, those of you seeking the opposite experience may be interested in reading the following:

Simple Casino Games that are Easy on the Brain

Casino Games that Require Skill to Win

No one has to implement a strategy to win these games. Everyone gets lucky now and again. But if you want to win more often, driving your odds to peak performance, these are the games you’ll want to learn more about. I’ve chosen to list them in order of the best payback percentage, with perfect strategy applied.

Video Poker

These can be the most rewarding games of all. The trick is to find one with the right rules and pay table. At online casinos, Microgaming’s All Aces VP (99.92%) and Jacks or Better with 9/6 Full Pay (99.54%) are about as good as it gets. A few land-based casinos – and I do mean a very rare few – still provide VP games with 100-101% RTPs. Learn more here.

Blackjack

Of course, blackjack will land high on any list of this nature. It is the most strategically driven game in any casino. Just memorizing a basic strategy for the exact rules of the blackjack game you’re going to play can lower the house edge to below 0.5%. The true RTP value depends on the rules in play. For example:

  • Vegas Single Deck 99.69%
  • Double Exposure 99.68%
  • Classic Blackjack 99.60%
  • Spanish 21 99.58%

With these high-RTP variants, players who toss in an astute card counting system at a land-based casino can swing the edge into their favor.

Pai Gow Poker

A unique, 2-handed poker game in which players receive 7 cards to set a traditional 5-card poker hand and a 2-card poker hand. The 5-card hand must be stronger than the 2-card hand. If the player’s 2-card and 5-card hands beat the dealer’s corresponding hands, the player wins. If one beats the dealer, it’s a push. A good strategy will put the RTP at 97.28%.

Caribbean Holdem

This is a house-banked poker game with dual betting rounds, the Ante and Call. It follows the rules of Casino Holdem (based on Texas Holdem), but with a different payout scheme for Ante bets and a progressive jackpot. Using the right strategy here can net you an RTP of 96.91%.

Three Card Poker

This house-banked poker game also presents two rounds of betting, based on the strength of a 3-card poker hand. What makes it so unique is the fluctuation in RTP based on your strategic decision. The Ante alone carries an RTP of 96.67%. If making the Call bet (strategy calls for a hand of Q-6-4 or better), the RTP rises to 97.99%. The Pair Plus side bet falls between the two at 97.68%.

Let It Ride

Another house-banked poker game, this one plays opposite of most. Instead of placing progressive bets (Ante, Call, Raise, etc), the player starts with three bets on the table. As the hand progresses, he can chose to pull one or two of his bets down, it ‘let them ride’. With optimal strategy, you can expect an RTP of 96.49%.

Caribbean Stud

This is a basic 5 Card Stud poker game but with the usual house-banking rules, wherein the player competes against the dealer. An Ante bet is made to start, then all cards are dealt with one dealer card exposed. The player must then fold (lose all bets) or raise (bet 2x ante) before all cards are shown. While strategy does play a big role in this game, perfect decisions will only net an RTP of about 94.78%.

Take time to practice with free Android casino games.

Easiest Way to Find your Favorite Casino Games on AndroidResearch has shown that today’s youngest generation of adults are contributing greatly to the increase in mobile gambling. As newcomers to the casino scene, I strongly urge novice players to learn the ropes before investing any cash in this popular form of entertainment. Knowing which games you enjoy and are willing to spend money to play is critical to the longevity of your bankroll.

What a lot of people don’t realize is that they have a lot of options. It’s not necessary to spend money to find which games you like best. Social casinos are free, but tend to be a bit zanier. Real money casino sites offer a more true-to-life experience, but you don’t have to play for real money.

Find your Favorite Casino Games First

There are a lot of games out there. When we think of physical casinos, the games that usually come to mind are blackjack, roulette, maybe craps or baccarat, and of course slot machines. These are the games that are depicted most often in film and on television. You may already even know how to play them. But there are so many more games to choose from, especially in the online casino realm. After all, there’s no limit to the number of games that can be packed onto a virtual casino floor.

I’m talking about games like Pai Gow Poker, Red Dog, Casino War, Sic Bo, Big Wheel, Let it Ride, Keno, 3 Card Poker, 4 Card Poker, Caribbean Stud, Mississippi Stud, Ultimate Texas Hold’em (the house-banked version, not the traditional player-versus-player poker game), and a multitude of Video Poker variants. This list can go on and on.

Imagine walking into a casino for the first time, unfamiliar with most of these games. You have no idea which ones you’ll actually enjoy. The only way to find out is to play them all, and that could get very expensive, very quick! But don’t worry, there’s an easier way.

Practice with Free Android Casino Games

Practice with Free Android Casino Games – No Rush to Play for CashThe easiest way to find your favorite casino games is to play all the varieties you can find without risking any money at all. Mobile casinos are the perfect playground for beginners. You’ll find the exact same games available in land-based casinos (and then some), and you’ll never be required to make a deposit to play.

I don’t recommend playing at ‘social casinos’. You know the ones. You download them for free off the Google Play store, invite your friends to earn free coins, compete for high scores, blah-blah-blah. Those games rarely offer anything near a genuine house edge. You’re not going to get a true-to-life experience here. In fact, some of their slot machines offer above 100% returns, which can easily convince a player that they’re very lucky—that they’ll experience the same luck playing real money slots. Wrong! That’s a nasty gambling habit just waiting to happen.

Instead, go to a real online casino website, where real money play is offered. If you live in Canada, I recommend Royal Vegas. They’ve been around since 2000, are extremely reputable, and are powered by Microgaming software, which boasts the most extensive gaming menu in the industry.

Don’t make a deposit yet, though. Take your time. Play all the games. Get to know them, and choose your favorites. You can practice with free Android casino games for as long as you like. If/when you’re ready, then make a deposit and collect whatever new player bonus is available to play your favorite casino games for cash. Having all this knowledge and experience behind you, I promise you’ll be glad you waited.

New research forecasts future of desktop & mobile online gambling.

Where would the world be today without dedicated research? We’d have little or no medicine. Genealogists wouldn’t exist (bye-bye Ancestry.com). You wouldn’t be reading this right now, because it took a good bit of research on my part to compose. For businesses and marketing strategists, it would be a game of trial and error.

IDA Forecasts Future of Desktop and Mobile Online Gambling

Internet gambling companies, in particular, rely heavily on research reports to identify trends and take advantage of the latest player-friendly technologies. That’s exactly what Industry Data Analytics (IDA) had in mind when they spent months researching all facets of iGaming growth from 2013-2017. The end result was the composition of an extensive report they call “Global Online Casino Market – Opportunities and Forecast to 2023”.

The study is segmented by game type, region and access technology. Gaming verticals include sports, poker, slots, table games, card games and others. Access technology refers to the preference of desktop/laptop and mobile (smartphone and tablet) devices in accessing the games.

Future of Desktop and Mobile Gambling Online

One of the more interesting findings—at least in my opinion—is the projected growth rate of desktop and mobile gambling online. For many years, internet gaming was exclusive to desktop and laptop computers. The birth of touch-screen mobile technology circa 2007 took nearly a decade to really to catch on. In more recent years we’ve seen a major shift in the desktop-to-mobile ratio of players.

Just last year, mobile gaming finally overtook the top position, beating out the desktop variety. Now, IDA is anticipating both platforms will continue to see a rise in usage over the next few years; albeit notably higher for the mobile segment.

From 2018-2026, IDA predicts the mobile gambling sector to experience CAGR of 16%. As for desktop gaming, a competitive gain of 6% is in the forecast.

Favorite Online Gambling Verticals to Experience Higher Growth

Sports betting is by far the most popular form of wagering in the world. It always has been, and that’s a fact that’s not likely to change anytime in the foreseeable future. If anything, it’s going to grow to astounding heights over the next few years.

IDA’s research indicates a CAGR of 14%, but it doesn’t appear they’ve taken into account the recent reversal of PASPA by the US Supreme Court, providing for legalization of sports betting in all 50 states. Odds are, their data was collected before that critical alteration in US gambling law. Thus, the 14% growth rate of sports betting, despite being the highest on their list, is likely to see far more growth in the forecast period.

The second fastest growing desktop and mobile online gambling vertical will come by way of casino games. The immense popularity of slot machines and consistent innovations among creators of those games will attribute to the inevitable increase. Researchers believe online casino games will rise at a CAGR of 12%.

The Market Marauders Approach to Gambling: Online casino games, sports books, or poker? Pick your digital poison.

Online Casino games, sports books or poker? Pick your digital poison. This may be the digital age—an age where the upcoming generation knows nothing of touch-tone phones, hard-cover dictionaries, or mechanized musical apparatus—but gambling existed long before the internet, or anything close to touch-screen technology. And yet, the forms of gambling enjoyed today are the same types our long-lost ancestors enjoyed centuries ago. We just enjoy them a bit differently, and with much greater ease of access.

Online gambling opened a vast door of opportunities. The three most popular types of online gambling align closely with the most famous gambling amusements of old. Wagering on sporting events, or any competition of athletic prowess, was the first among them. Card games, much like the poker games played today, came after. Then, just a few short centuries ago, gambling was commercialized by way of casinos, with game variety evolving and expanding throughout the decades.

Online Casino Games, Sports Books or Poker? Pick your Digital Poison

The internet made access to these games so invariably convenient. As a result, the number of casual gamblers has exploded. For so many, the idea of whether to place a wager is no longer the question, but rather on what to place a wager?

Online Casino Games

Casino games are perfect for those who have no exceptional passion, particularly for sports or mentally-extraneous poker games. The variety of gaming options is immense. They range from the easiest of games, like slot machines, to more complex titles with a multitude of betting options, such as craps and roulette. Card gaming enthusiasts will find no shortage of table games; things like blackjack, baccarat, pai gow poker, Caribbean stud, let ‘em ride, red dog, war, ultimate Texas holdem, the list goes on and on. And that doesn’t even include the array of single-player video poker variants on the market.

If having a wide selection of entertainment suits your fancy, online casino games are a perfect choice. And another fascinating corollary of the internet is access limitless to tips, tricks and strategies to increase your odds of actually winning these games. You won’t sway the edge into your favor, but there’s nothing wrong with raising the odds.

Online Sports Books

The oldest gambling form in history, betting on sports contests has always been popular. It’s no surprise that more and more people are using their computers and smartphones to place bets than ever before. Where betting on the locally televised events was once fancied, the internet gave us access to wagers on every possible contest played around the globe.

If you enjoy athletics in general, whether it be a particular sport or league, or anything worthy of ESPN coverage, sports books present the perfect opportunity to increase the action. If you happen to closely follow the sports and leagues you wager on, you’re already a step ahead of the game in making the best statistical picks.

Online Poker Rooms

Unlike online casino games and sports betting, the popularity of poker is clearly a product of the world wide web. Before the internet came along, the World Series of Poker—the most prestigious poker event in the world—never once saw 400 players in the field.

Then in 2000, when online poker was in its absolute infancy, interest began to rise, if ever so slightly, attracting a record field of 512. The next year, 613. And in 2003, when the first WSOP satellites were offered online, the crowd rose to 839. That was the same year Chris Moneymaker took a satellite entry all the way to the WSOP Championship bank for $2.5 million. His success encouraged a much larger field of over 2,500 players the following year. Since 2006, entries have fluctuated anywhere from 6,300, up to the current record of 8,773.

But alas, poker is not a game for the faint of heart. One must master the skill of mathematics, or psychological warfare, to have any hope of survival. Those who master both… they are the freakishly successful pros we love (fear) and admire today.

Of course, the choice is yours to make. Online casinos, sports books or poker? Only you can decide which is right for you. The best advice I can offer is to choose your gambling sites wisely, know the games you play, start small, and always be mindful of your budget.

Live Casino Hold’em: Not your Grandpa’s hold’em game!

How to Play Live Casino hold'em OnlineCasino Hold’em is a popular, house-banked variant of the traditional Texas Hold’em poker game. When the games are played ‘Live‘, it means that you’ll be competing alongside other real players, with a real dealer and cards. However, since the games take place online, you get to view it all from the comfort of home or anywhere an internet connection is available, via live streaming video and audio.

Live Casino Hold’em Games

Live Casino Texas Hold’em is a far cry from the games your parents and grandparents probably used to play. Thanks to trademark patents and copyright laws, it goes by a wide variety of names. Casino Hold’em is the most common, while others use names like Ultimate Hold’em, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, or Ultimate Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker, etc. Be careful, though, because as the names change, the rules and betting schedules can vary as well.

In general, Live Hold’em games are played very much like a combination of traditional, player-versus-player Texas Hold’em, and a standard video poker game. The cards are played the same as Texas Hold’em, with each participant and the dealer receiving two cards, along with 5 community cards placed in the center of the table. The video poker aspect comes from the fact that players get a higher payout for developing a higher ranking hand. However, the ultimate goal is to beat the dealer’s hand, guaranteeing a payout of some size.

Before you Play Live Casino Texas Hold’em…

Make sure you understand the Live Casino aspect before you get started. Most computer and mobile devices have processors that are more than capable of running the games. However, you’ll need a fast and stable internet connection to run the games at full speed, without interruption.

Also, make sure you fully understand the rules, and which hands are worth the best payouts. You don’t want to play any game you’re not familiar with in a live setting, as it will slow down the game speed for everyone else, leaving you with a feeling of intimidation.

If you need a little more experience, try playing a computerized version of the game online first. With no other real people involved, you can take all the time you want to make decisions. You can even play in practice mode, risking nothing of value as you get the hang of it.

How to Play Casino Hold’em

The object is to beat the dealer, plain and simple. Other players’ hands do not matter. Your two hole cards, combined with the 5 community cards, determine your best 5-card hand rank.

The game is played with two betting rounds. The first is the Ante, placed before any cards are dealt. The dealer will then provide each player with two hole cards, and deal the first three community cards face up. Once you see these first 5 cards, you can choose to Call, placing a second bet equal to the ante. Or, you can choose to Fold, forfeiting the Ante.

To win, you must continue to the showdown with a Call bet. If the dealer qualifies with a Pair of 4s or anything better, you stand to win more money.

At the showdown, wins and losses are based on the following criteria:

  • If the dealer doesn’t qualify, and your hand is higher, you will win your Ante bet according to the Ante pay table (see below). The call bet is returned as a push.

  • If the dealer’s hand qualifies, and your hand is higher, you will win 1:1 on the Call/Raise bets, and the Ante is paid according to the pay table.

  • If the dealer’s hand does or does not qualify, and your hand is lower, all bets are lost.

Casino Hold’em Ante Pay Table

Note that this pay table may vary slightly from one Casino Hold’em game to the next.

  • Royal Flush – 100:1

  • Straight Flush – 20:1

  • 4 of a Kind – 10:1

  • Full House – 3:1

  • Flush – 2:1

  • Any Other Winning Hand – 1:1

Bonus Side Bet Pay Table

Most Live Casino Hold’em games will present an optional Bonus bet. It can be placed alongside the Ante bet before the hand begins. Bonus bets will win or lose based on the strength of the player’s final hand (irrespective of dealer qualification). Note that if you don’t continue to the Showdown, this bet is lost!

The standard Bonus pay table is as follows:

  • Royal Flush – 100:1

  • Straight Flush – 50:1

  • 4 of a Kind – 40:1

  • Full House – 30:1

  • Flush – 20:1

  • Pair of Aces thru Straight – 7:1

Hard Rock brings casino table games to Rideau Carleton Raceway.

Casino Tables Games now at Rideau Carleton RacewayLet the competition begin! That’s the cry of Ottawa gamblers-in-the-know this week as two of the areas casinos are now competing for customers on the felt. CTV News reports on Wednesday confirm the Hard Rock’s Rideau Carleton Raceway is now offering a full layout of live table games for their casino goers.

The Rideau Carleton has been hosting slot machines since it first cut the ribbon in 1998. But it’s taken two long decades to get any table games on the floor. That final step also took a few years to accomplish, thanks to the lobbying efforts and lofty investment of universally-renowned Hard Rock International.

The announcement was made in May 2017 that Hard Rock would take over day-to-day operations, and 51% ownership, of the Rideau Carleton Raceway in Gloucester, Ontario, just south of Ottawa. Hard Rock won the favor of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp (OLG) with a “master plan” to invest millions of dollars into the property, turning it into a full-fledged, integrated entertainment resort.

Hard Rock and OLG agreed to pool their resources, dropping $320 million into the project. This includes the construction of a 250-room hotel, signature Hard Rock music venue, four new restaurants, and an all new 140,000sf gaming floor. There are already 23 live table games installed; a number Hard Rock can increase to 35 in time.

Live Tables Games at new Hard Rock Ridaeu Carlton Casino

New Casino Table Games at Ridaeu Carleton

Hard Rock went all out when initiating its master plan for the Rideau Carleton Casino. They’ve installed a wide range of table games that goes well beyond the usual favorites. The Ottawa casino now boasts over 1,200 sot machines and the following list of live table games.

  • Blackjack
  • Casino War
  • Craps
  • Mini-Baccarat
  • Mississippi Stud
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Roulette
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Holdem

Competition Heating Up w/ Casino du Lac Leamy

There are now two Ottawa casinos offering table games for customers. Hard Rock’s installment eliminates the long-time monopoly on tables held by Casino du Lac Leamy, situated just across the Ottawa River in Gatineau, Quebec. Needless to say, operators there weren’t too thrilled by the news that Hard Rock would become a major competitor.

Operators of that casino are preparing for the competition with a few renovations of their own. Casino du Lac Leamy is set to undergo a $47.3 million rejuvenation, mostly to remind visitors that it’s the number one destination for gaming around Ontario’s capitol.

The Gatineau casino already boasts a much wider variety of casino table games than Hard Rock’s new resort. The current list of electronic and live tables games at Casino du Lac Leamy includes:

  • Blackjack
    • Traditional Blackjack
    • Blackjack Switch
    • Free Bet Blackjack
    • Spanish 21
    • Interactive Blackjack
  • Baccarat
  • EZ Baccarat
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • High Card Flush
  • Let It Ride Poker
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • EZ Pai Gow Poker
  • Roulette
  • Interactive Roulette
  • Texas Hold’em Poker
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em

Will Hard Rock’s Reputation be Enough?

While the Rideau Carleton Raceway is sure to be a hit in the early days of launch, will it be able to sustain a steady flow of customers? Casino du Lac Leamy may be across the river in Quebec, but it’s still closer to downtown Ottawa than Rideau Carleton. Plus, their game variety goes well beyond that of the Gloucester casino.

Then again, the Hard Rock brand is known throughout the world. The company is renowned for bringing an unrivaled level of entertainment to its properties. The casino table games alone might not be enough, but overall, I think the competition between these Ottawa casinos is going to be fierce!

Vivo Gaming boasts new interface on Live Roulette for mobile.

Vivo Gaming Mobile Live Casino with Live Roulette for MobileLive dealer has been one of the fastest growing verticals in the online gambling industry. Most companies deeply embedded in the business for the last decade are performing exceptionally well, investing in innovations to better their products. Vivo Gaming is, well… trying to be one of them.

Launched in 2010, they have the longevity and experience to be a high-profile rival in the industry. However, they’ve made quite a few mistakes over the years. Perhaps this latest announcement of an updated, more user friendly product will mark a turn-around for their business model and reputation.

With that being said, Vivo is introducing a new Live roulette mobile interface. This new tech is developed in HTML5 for universal device compatibility, offering players a more versatile and customizable experience.

New Interface on Live Roulette for Mobile

Vivo Gaming Live Roulette for MobileVivo Gaming has given their existing live roulette tables a complete makeover. The interface has a whole new graphic scheme that is more crisp and easy on the eyes. By default, the table’s digital betting diagram takes up the majority of the screen on mobile devices. However, it now comes with a floating, resizable window to view the live action from their studios in… um, wherever they are. They don’t actually divulge that information.

According to a company press release, the new interface also provides for all possible side bets, including those found on traditional French roulette tables. The new games have already been integrated at Vivo’s existing live casino clients.

Vivo Gaming is preparing to debut its fresh live casino product portfolio at ICE 2018 in London next month. They’re surely hoping to attract a wider variety of partners, with the “super light” software application as a prominent selling point.

“We are happy to present our super light roulette application, that supports all mobile devices available including widescreen and has all Improved full screen handling in iOS and Android,” said… someone quoted in the press release. In 8 years of operation, they’ve never revealed who owns or manages Vivo Gaming, either.

“The Vivo Tech Team is always motivated to come up with solutionsthat supports our partners and allies with our best side of tech capacity,” the mystery quotation continues. “Altogether, considering the design, game options, optimized light version, we believe we are currently offering one of the Best Mobile Roulette this year”.

Lack of Transparency, Lack of Trust

I have a hard time speaking positively of a brand that is so clandestine about their operations. They claim multiple times on their website to host “studios from around the world”, but never say where they host them from.

We do know that one streams live from the Naka Palace Entertainment Hotel Resort in Laos (Southeast Asia). We have to assume there are more. Vivo claims its “operations fall under strict regulation of some of the world leading land based casino”, and Naka Palace can’t possibly fit that description.

The live casino operator does seem to have one of the most extensive game varieties in the live arena, if their textual bragging can be believed. There’s no evidence on the website – no demos, pictures, or videos that exhibit live craps – to back up the claims.

I spent quite some time searching through dozens of online casinos this morning that employ Vivo software. I finally managed to find one that displays an image of Live Casino Craps on its menu. Of course, that site is licenced in Curacao – as is Vivo Gaming (that’s the only thing they disclose) – so I didn’t bothering signing up an account to find out if it’s true. Being “regulated” in “Curacao” is kind of a contradiction in terms.

If nothing else, there’s one thing I can say for Vivo Gaming. What they lack in transparency, they make up for in boastful marketing. Hopefully their desire to go big at ICE 2018 with the new product line and interface on live roulette for mobile will drive them to become more transparent in their future endeavors.

How live dealer gambling got faster, glitzier and more progressive in 2017.

Each and every year, new and innovative concepts make their way into the Live Casino sector of online gaming. The companies who develop the software and manage the studios for these real-life, internet-based gambling platforms are always looking to bring something new to the table.

A new game here, a renovation there, a more lucrative prize at the end of the virtual rainbow. Whatever it may be, these innovations often kindle the admiration of the gambling masses. When you look back at an entire year’s worth of advancements, it’s awe-inspiring indeed.

Live Dealer Gambling 2017 to 2018

The new year is upon us. In two days, we’ll be sipping champagne and smooching our significant others as we ring in 2018. For now, let’s glimpse back in time at live dealer games, and what their prodigal founders brought to the table in 2017.

Progress of Live Dealer Gambling in 2017

I’m always astounded by the extent of upgrades and ingenuity that take place over a year’s time, especially in this industry. 2016 was a stellar year for live casino games, but 2017 trumps it by leaps and bounds. As usual, there was an expansion of game variety. More impressive, however, over the last twelve months, live casinos got faster, glitzier and much more progressive.

Speeding Up Live Dealer Games

Evolution Gaming was responsible for much of the innovation in the live casino sector. Things moved rapidly in 2017 – pun intended! In February, Evolution led the charge with the introduction of Speed Baccarat.

These new tables gave players the option to participate in the fastest baccarat hands known to live gaming. On average, each hand lasts around 10 seconds, with a max 20 second wait period for bet placement. The tables were well received, and by June, Evolution had opened a second Speed Baccarat table at its Latvian casino studio.

Baccarat isn’t the only game they saw worthy of expedition. In March 2017, the company’s Speed Roulette tables began attracting the masses. With a new spin every 25 seconds, these tables rival the equivalent offering available at PlayTech since 2014.

Bigger, Better, More Opulent

New Live Dealer Games from PlayTechSpeaking of PlayTech, that company made brilliant headlines this year by opening the world’s largest live casino studio. Located in Riga’s Old Town (Latvia), the studio began opening in stages as construction progressed.

Each new set of tables were more luxuriant than the last. The boring tables of their previous studio were transitioned to the new location, featuring opulent golds, creamy whites, decadent chocolaty browns, and elegant staircases Tevye the Dairyman (Fiddler on the Roof) would give his left arm for.

First came the brand’s Grand / Royale tables. Next, exclusive and private tables made the transition, followed by common tables later in the year.

Progressive Live Dealer Games

One of the best ‘progressions‘ of all came by way of progressive live gambling games. As the year began, hardly before the New Year’s confetti hit the ground, Evolution hailed the arrival of the first live Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker tables.

Midway through 2017, Evolution made waves again. This time, the company introduced its revolutionary Jumbo 7 Jackpot on Live Casino Holdem. It’s not the easiest thing to win. In fact, it’s virtually inconceivable.

Players will need to place the Jumbo 7 side bet to even qualify. Then, someone who places that bet will need a 7-card straight flush, using both of their hole cards and all five community cards. If that occurs, all who placed the side bet will share in the massive jackpot.

There are exactly 133,784,560 possible 7-card combinations, but only 32 of them will award that jumbo jackpot. That puts the odds right around 0.00000024, or 1 in 4,180,768. Good luck!

The Online Advantage: Look up mobile casino strategies as you play.

Online Casino GamesPicture this… You’re seated at a blackjack table in a big, land-based casino. There are players on either side of you. The game is moving along smoothly. Then suddenly, the player to your left can’t seem to make a decision. He says, “Hold on a minute,” then whips out his iPhone and asks Siri for a blackjack strategy chart.

Wait, what? Is this guy serious? He’s obviously smart enough to know that optimal strategy is the best way to win. He’s also dumb enough to play in a live casino without memorizing that strategy first. The groans he would surely receive from everyone at the table might actually be loud enough to drown out the cacophony of chiming slot machines across the way.

Sorry, but no, you cannot hold up an entire table of players to look up casino strategies on your mobile device. It’s not illegal or anything, but it breaches every form of gambling etiquette in the book.

If you play online casino games, however, you can spend all the time in the world searching for the best move in any situation.

Mobile Casino Strategies – Timeless!

Mobile Casino StrategiesThe vast majority of online casino games are played one-on-one, player versus house. Whether it’s blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, casino holdem, red dog, slot machines, video poker, you name it… These games are computer engineered to play with the same odds and probabilities as a live game, but you – the player – are the only real live thing about it. Thus there’s no time limit to abide by.

You can take all the time you want to decide the best move. Split those 9s, or stand with 18 against the dealer’s 6? The shooter hasn’t crapped out in 10 rolls, is Any Sevens a good bet? Look it up! There’s no rush to make a decision.

You’re already on your computer or mobile device anyway. Why not pop over to google and search for a blackjack chart or optimal strategy for craps? Heck, grab a fresh drink and a bowl of chips or popcorn while you’re at it. You’ve got all the time in the world!

The same cannot be said of live dealer casino games. Streamed live over the internet with a real dealer and real players, these are akin to land-based casino games. They will enforce a time limit, so don’t confuse them with traditional online and mobile casino games.

Other Advantages of Online Casino Games

There are many other reasons why online and mobile casinos are so often preferred over the land-based variety. First and foremost, you can play from pretty much anywhere, any time you feel like it, saving on travel expenses, food, etc.

There are a lot more games to choose from, too, and you can play them all for free, for as long as you want. This is a great way to really learn the rules and proper strategies for games you aren’t too familiar with. And for slots fans, the payback percentages are much more generous. Instead of the typical 85-90% RTP (return to player) at land-based casinos, you’ll find 94-98% RTPs online.

Then there’s the added benefit of promotions. New players get generous bonus offers on their first deposit – sometimes without even requiring a deposit. The promotional offerings and loyalty programs are far superior to brick-and-mortar casinos. And who can blame them really? If I had to pay the utility bill of a Las Vegas casino, I’d be pretty stingy too!
