Canadians go wild for new wildlife slot machines at online casinos.

Of all the different genres of casino games, there’s nothing that quite compares to slot machines. They are the most popular of all games in the world, occupying vastly more floor-space than all other gambling amusements combined, despite the fact that a slot cabinet takes up far less space than any single blackjack, baccarat, craps or roulette table ever could. More importantly, slots are so unique that they are capable of being developed with limitless styles, themes and payout schedules. They are the only casino games available that can pay out millions of dollars for a single play, for a cost of nothing more than pocket change.

New Wildlife Slot Machines at Canada Online Casinos

Slot machines with a wilderness motif have long captured the hearts of Canadian gamblers. Not only do we love the outdoors, we have access to an abundant variety of nature’s finest; for many of us, right outside our doorstep. IGaming studios like IGT, the world’s largest creator of physical and digital slot machines, are catering to that distinct love with more new wildlife themed slots than ever.

Kodiak’s Roar Slot by WMS / IGT

Kodiak's Roar Slot

Kodiak’s Roar is a new 5×4 reel, 1024 ways video slot from the creative minds of WMS, subsidiary of IGT. It’s loaded with features, has a max payout potential of x2,500, and offers a medium-high volatility that any true slots fan can appreciate. Its 96.2% RTP is on point with today’s average for online slots.

Aesthetically speaking, Kodiak’s Roar has a lot to offer wildlife fans. It’s main symbol is, of course, the roaring Kodiak bear. A calmer, watchful Kodiak is the wild. Other nature-themed symbols include a moose, owl, red fox, and the bear’s favorite afternoon snack, salmon.

Safari Sam 2 by Betsoft

Safari Sam 2 Slot

If you prefer something a little more off the beaten path – or at least, farther from home – Betsoft’s new Safari Sam 2 might do the trick. Launched in April 2021, it’s a suped-up sequel to the original 2012 release. This 5×3-reel video slot takes players on an adventure into the wild plains of Africa. It comes with a medium volatility, max payout of x505, and an average RTP of 96.3%. All this can be yours for a bet range of $0.20 to $100 per spin.

The game’s 3D animated graphics are a big selling point, following the adventures of Safari Sam and his trusty female sidekick. It comes with two main features – Call of the Wild and Free Spins. Call of the Wild is random, filling up to 4 reels with all wilds. 3, 4 or 5 Acacia Tree Scatters award 7, 12 or 20 free games, during which Call of the Wild triggers on every spin.

Shimmering Woods Slot by Play’n Go

Shimmering Woods Slot

Step into the Shimmering Woods, where magical crystals grow, delighting the enchanted creatures of the forest. Released in March 2021 by Play’n Go, this traditional 5×3 reel slot comes with 243 ways to win, a medium-high variance, and a profit-potential of x25,000 the bet size. Unfortunately, the RTP comes in on the low side at just 94.2%.

The base game is all about the beauty of the forest and the radiant crystals that grow from its foliage. During free spins, the reels have the potential to split from 5×3 to 5×6, boosting the paylines to as high as 7,776 ways to win, multiplied by a Cascading Wins feature.

Buffalo Hold and Win by Booming Games

Buffalo Hold and Win Slot

Netxt up on our wily wildlife-themed slots list is Buffalo Hold and Win, an adventurous 5×3 reel, 25 payline video slot with the ability to pay up to x1,000 coins in a single play. This is a high volatility slot, so the wins don’t come often, but when they do, they tend to pay in large amounts. However, it does have a slightly below average RTP of 95.91%.

The buffalo theme is one the online slots industry has put through the ringer more times than just about any other theme. It’s a simple matter of supply and demand – players demand it, so developers keep on supplying it. This one’s packed with free spins, a hold and win bonus game, and a quick hit feature.

Jaguar Super Ways by Bad Dingo

Jaguar Super Ways Slot

Bad Dingo is a small, independent studio that teamed up with Yggdrasil to build interactive slot with the latter’s patented SuperWays slots feature. Jaguar Super Ways draws players deep into the jungle, where wild cats and exotic creatures rule the land. It’s default 5×3 reels can expand up to 9×9, increasing to as many as 387,420,489 ways to win. A relatively generous 96.25% RTP combines with a medium volatility to award a massive max win of x22,457 on a single spin, costing anywhere from $0.40 to $10 per play.

Jaguar Super Ways runs on the Cacading Wins mechanic, exploding all winning symbols to fill the reels with new ones, creating up to 15 simultaneous wins on a single spin. While that’s enjoyable to watch when luck befalls, this game really falls back on its Super Ways feature – by far the most prominent aspect of the game. Jaguar paws randomly appear across the reels to trigger the feature, highlighted by a 3×3 Mega Paw symbol and the ability to open up all 9×9 reels and max pay ways.

Jaguars Super Ways was launched exclusively at Unibet Casino on April 1, 2021, and makes its way to all Yggdrasil powered online casinos on May 21.

Mega Moolah (Safari) by Microgaming

Mega Moolah Jackpot Poised to Pay at least $12.7 Million

This last one’s not new. In fact, it’s one of the oldest surviving slots on the iGaming market today, released by Microgaming circa 2006. It’s the industry’s most celebrated, highest-paying, millionaire-making progressive. The Mega Moolah is the harbinger of safari-style wildlife slot machines at online casinos, responsible for paying more than $1 billion in progressive prizes to date.

Is PlayOLG the safe secure online casino Ontario players should trust, or are there better options out there?

Is PlayOLG a Safe Secure Online Casino Ontario Players can Trust?

For more than two decades, Canadians have had access to a seemingly unlimited supply of online gambling websites. It’s not really unlimited, of course. There are nearly 5,000 known iGaming websites in existence. About 25% of them welcome Canadian players and CA$ deposits. How do you know if you’re choosing the right one, when there are 1,000+ sites beckoning?

As of 2015, a lot of Ontario’s internet gamblers have made the easy choice, signing up an account with PlayOLG.com, the official online gaming destination of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp (OLG). Being mandated, regulated, and operated by our own government certainly offers some assurances, but is it the best option? Let’s take a look at the most reasons to sign up for local iGaming.

PlayOLG is a Safe Secure Online Casino

By far the most advantageous feature of PlayOLG is the fact that it’s run by the same government that is responsible for enforcing the gambling laws of Ontario, and Canada as a whole. OLG is going to do everything in its power to ensure players are protected, just as they aim to protect the players of their walk-in casinos on land. The regulatory body invokes the highest standard security measures to keep player information safe, secure, and out of the hands of those who might use it for harmful purposes.

This is the exact same protocol undertaken by the world’s most distinguished, internationally regulated online casinos. The difference is, we don’t always know which offshore casino is distinguished, and which ones aren’t. We can do a little research to find out, or, we can take the quickest route to safety and join PlayOLG.

It’s a perfect short-term solution for those of us leading busy lives; a classification that covers 99.9% of Ontario’s population, aged 19-60. But is it the best decision in the long-term?

Are There Better Options for Ontarians?

This is a relative question with a relative answer. If PlayOLG offers everything you desire out of an online casino, by all means, take full advantage of its fast-track to supreme security. There’s a lot to be enjoyed by members of the home-grown iGaming website.

PlayOLG has (at time of writing) 110 casino games to choose from, including 90 traditional slots, 5 progressive jackpot slots, 11 table games and 4 video pokers. As an added perk, you can purchase all of your number-draw lottery and instant win tickets directly from the website or mobile app. If these features satisfy all your iGaming needs, there’s no reason to go anywhere else.

You’ll even have access to a rather generous welcome bonus worth up to $300 in bonus credits. Furthermore, no offshore website is going to match PlayOLG’s astonishingly-low wagering requirements of 10x WR on the bonus amount only. (Learn more about the PlayOLG Welcome Bonus here.)

With all these perks you may be wondering, what do internationally regulated gambling sites offer that PlayOLG doesn’t?

Benefits of Taking Your iGaming Overseas

There are a few good reasons why so many Ontario players have continued doing their iGaming with offshore operators. At one time, it was the promotions that drew players overseas more than anything else, but now that Ontario offers the same level of generosity – if not more – there are only to notable perks for outsourcing your online gambling.

The first is game variety. International online casinos offer anywhere from a few hundred to over one thousand games. It all depends on the software brand(s) they employ. Royal Vegas Canada, for instance, only licenses software from two companies; Microgaming for its RNG-based games, and Evolution Gaming for its live casino content. This may not sound like much, but Microgaming has more than 900 games in its ever-growing portfolio, and Evolution is has been number-one supplier of live dealer casino games for 10 years running.

It’s hard to beat that kind of content, but LeoVegas Mobile Casino does. LeoVegas operates under the philosophy that more is always better. They employ more than 50 different software brands – including Microgaming and Evolution Gaming, as well as the IGT and Scientific Games brands licensed to PlayOLG – to deliver thousands upon thousands of games to their customers.

The second benefit is access to different forms of gambling you can’t find on PlayOLG. Offshore online casinos are not restricted to following the letter of Canadian federal law. They can supply everything, from online poker and sports betting on single events, to international lottery drawings, to skill-based arcade games.

As I said, the correct choice is a relative one. If you’re looking for minimal gaming in a guaranteed safe secure online casino environment, PlayOLG is a fantastic choice. If you want more out of your gaming experience, and don’t mind doing a little research to find the most trusted offshore casino brands, you’ll find the international iGaming landscape to be incomparably well endowed.

Ontario online casino now offering IGT’s Mega Jackpots Online Slot.

Ontario Online Casino now offers IGT's Famous Mega Jackpots Online SlotsInternational Game Technology (IGT) is one of the oldest and most recognized slot machine manufacturers in the world, operating in both the land-based and online gaming space. When the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp (OLG) launched its provincially-run iGaming platform in early 2015, IGT was the premier choice to supply interactive content for the OLG online casino, PlayOLG.com.

Over the last few years, however, regulators have been hesitant to install the full suite of online slot titles from IGT’s extensive digital portfolio. More recently, however, a plan to improve the customer experience is being implemented. That includes increasing the volume of online casino games, while giving players a shot at much more lucrative prizes.

Ontario Online Casino Installed Mega Jackpots Online Slots

IGT has fabricated a total of five “MegaJackpots” branded slots titles in the last four years. As of October 2018, three of them are now available at PlayOLG. They include Mega Jackpots Siberian Storm, Mega Jackpots Cleopatra, and Mega Jackpots Wolf Run.

While each of these titles are different in many ways, they all have a few things in common—including their 91-93% RTP, their namesake MegaJackpots feature, and a special Second Chance feature.

The MegaJackpots progressive is networked across all games in the series. It seeds at $500,000 each time it’s won, then continues to grow again until struck. How it’s won varies by game:

Siberian StormLand 5 MegaJackpots symbols anywhere on the reels.

CleopatraLand 5 MegaJackpots symbols on the center payline.

Wolf RunLand MegaJackpots symbols on all 20 positions of the reels.

The Second Chance jackpot is what IGT calls a ‘Behind the Scenes‘ feature, wherein every player is entered into a drawing following each real money session. The more a player wagers on the game, the higher the chance of winning is said to be, although I can imagine it’s very long odds indeed.

Overview of Mega Jackpots Slot at OLG Online Casino

Siberian Storm MegaJackpots SlotThe Siberian Storm MegaJackpots Slot was the first in IGT’s multi-million jackpot series, launched in February of 2014. It’s an adventurous game themed around the majestic white tigers of Siberia in the harsh trials of winter. It has an uncommon reel-set that spans 3-4-5-4-3, encompassing 720 ways to win, with combinations lining up left to right, and right to left. If the same winning symbol appears twice in a column, it multiplies the winnings.

Cleopatra MegaJackpots is the second installment in the series, released in February 2015. Taking on a traditional Egyptian theme, this game sports an equally traditional 5×3 reels with 20 paylines. The Cleopatra symbol is the Scatter, delivering scatter pays when 2 or more appear on the reels. When 3, 4 or 5 scatters appear, 15 free spins are triggered.

IGT’s MegaJackpots Wolf Run was the company’s fourth release in the collection, launched in September 2016. In this version, players are enthralled by stoic wolves of the deep forest. The reels are expanded to 5×4 with 40 paylines, and a series of special symbols. The MegaJackpots logo acts as a wild in this one, as does the howling wolf, to help line up wins with standard symbols. If three Bonus scatters appear on reels 2, 3 and/or 4, players win 2x the triggering bet, followed by 5 free spins.

New Slots and Cabinets from IGT

IGT New Slots Games on 2017 S3000 CabinetAccording to a press release issued this morning, the development team at IGT has been incredibly busy over the last year. When G2E kicks off next Tuesday, the company will be exhibiting an array of new and proven slots games, and dynamic new cabinets to encase them, under a distinct ‘Let’s Play‘ theme.

Renato Ascoli, Chief Executive of North America Gaming & Interactive for IGT, shared his enthusiasm over the upcoming event. “Having completed our new cabinet lineup over the last year, we will fulfill the commitment we made to our customers to launch new and compelling offerings at G2E 2017,” he said.

“Our ‘Let’s Play’ theme introduces a vast portfolio of content across our core and premium categories, and our pursuit of growth opportunities with expanded solutions and innovations for electronic table games, the Class II market, and mobile,” concluded Ascoli.

CrystalCurve, S3000 & IGT Dynasty

IGT previously vowed to renovate its line-up of slot machine cabinets and electronic table games (EGT) terminals. New additions include the CrystalCurve™ and S3000® cabinets, along with an IGT Dynasty EGT template.

The CrystalCurve will be the main cabinet for their new video slots games, featuring content for sale to the commercial casino industry. The S3000 is mostly designated for Class II games; the types found in tribal casinos all across North America. The IGT Dynasty terminals have been endowed with fresh content and screen configurations for casinos that host electronic gaming tables.

IGT’s New Slots Games at 2017 G2E

Cleopatra Gold New Slots Game from IGT

IGT will be debuting several of its Proven Performers on the CrystalCurve cabinet next week. One is Wild Fury Jackpots, a 5-reel game with vibrant graphics and an attractive jackpot feature. Another is Ocean Magic Grand, the latest addition to IGT’s Ocean Magic slots series with a 2×2 Super Bubble feature.

The company will also introduce CrystalCurve versions of Big Safari and Golden Egypt, a pair of Proven Performers that were ultimately successful on IGTs former dual-screen cabinets. As for brand new slots games, that honor goes to Cleopatra Gold, incorporating expanded wilds, and an enhanced free spins feature.

The S3000 Class II machines are 3-reel single- and multi-line games that include 2x3x4x5x Ducks In A Row, Double Topaz, and Wild Bill. These games were originally designed on previous cabinetry and introduced to tribal casinos in Oklahoma. Their infusion on he S3000 cabinet will see them permeating new markets throughout North America.

IGT Dynasty’s debut at G2E 2017 will come with the introduction of several branded table game titles. These include Dynasty Baccarat, Dynasty Blackjack, and Dynasty Sicbo. The most intriguing innovation in these new EGT terminals is their ability to link to live table games, on the same casino floor or otherwise.

This is just the tip of the iceberg for what IGT has in store for G2E 2017. For more information about the company and its upcoming technology exhibition, visit the IGT News Room.
