Bring On Fall: A quick review of cool autumn online slots games.

The leaves are changing. The air is cooling. There’s pumpkin spice products flooding every market! Summer is finally giving way to fall, and we’ve got some interesting ways to celebrate the change of season.

Of the tens of thousands of digital slot machines dominating the iGaming industry, only a few have incorporated the autumn theme. In fact, it’s one of the most scarce themes in the business – odd, since the season is beloved by so many. I’m convinced that the lack of autumn themed-slots has everything to do with the gross over-abundance of holidays themed games. There are more Halloween and Thanksgiving themed slots than I could possibly care to list on a single page; certainly not with reviews and stats.

Celebrate the Season with these Cool Autumn Online Slots

Today, we’ll take a look at what’s out there, who made it, and where you can play it. As I said, there aren’t too many fall slots for mobile. It is easily among the most overlooked themes in the business, especially when you consider just how many people absolutely adore the season (and the pumpkin spiced products it brings).

So without further ado, here my top 5 favorite autumn themed online slots. I’ve provided a very brief review and some basic details for each, like reels, paylines, and return to player (RTP).

Seasons by Yggdrasil

Seasons Autumn Online SlotsThis quirky little game features all four seasons. Each season represents its own game mode. Each game mode comes with its own wild features and free spins modes. The fall season features Random Walking Wilds. When a wild owl lands, it triggers free respins where the owl travels one reel to the right, along the top, middle or bottom. Respins continue until the owl leaves the screen. During free spins, the Random Walking Wilds are even more likely to appear. The other seasons are interesting too, but fall is my absolute favorite!

Reels: 5×3 Paylines: 20 RTP: 96.10%
Where to Play: You can find the Seasons Slot at any Yggdrasil powered online casino, including LeoVegas Mobile.

Moonshine by Microgaming

Moonshine Autumn Online SlotsIt’s harvest time down on the farm, but this is no ordinary farm. Alongside the fields of pumpkins and cabbage, shotgun-toting granny and the rest of her backwoods bootlegging brood are making moonshine! Humor and profitability to go hand in hand with this 5-reel video slot. Granny is the wild, taking the place of all other standard symbol to line up wins. The sheriff is a scatter, awarding scatter pays. The moonshine bottle is the bonus, awarding free spins. Before you start, you’ll pick from a number of moons to collect extra free spins and increase the multiplier. The feature starts when the block labeled ‘Star Free Spins’ is chosen.

Reels: 5×3 Paylines: 25 RTP: 96.02%
Where to Play: You can find the Moonshine Slot at most Microgaming powered online casinos, including Royal Vegas Casino.

Monster Mash Cash by Habanero

Monster Mash Cash Autumn Online SlotsGet your autumn groove on with Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolfman, and all their ghoulish friends as they do The Mash, slot machine style! This fiendishly fun video slot comes with expanding Jekyl and Hyde wilds that double all prizes they help to line up. He only appears on the first reel in the base game, but virtually guarantees a win when he does. During free spins, the expanding wild can appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. The Dracula Bonus scatter pays out multipliers of the total bet for 2 or more, and awards 8, 20 or 30 free games when 3, 4 or 5 appear. Add in a catchy musical score, and it all comes together with Habanero’s bar-setting flare for the dramatic.

Reels: 5×3 Paylines: 50 RTP: 96.00%
Where to Play: You can find the Monster Mash Cash Slot at all Habanero powered online casinos, including LeoVegas Mobile.

Sweet Harvest by Microgaming

Sweet Harvest Autumn Online SlotsHarvest time is the best time of year on the farm, but when the farmers happen to be super cute, it’s all the sweeter. The buxom beauty is the farmer’s daughter. The studly cowboy with the 6-pack abs is the ranch hand. They’re high paying symbols in the base game, but during free spins, they both become wilds that can stack on any reel. When the farmer’s daughter and ranch hand appear next to each other, they’ll pay out winnings with a 2x multiplier. To trigger those free spins, you need to see 3 or more barn house scatters land anywhere on the reels. If a scatter appears on reels 1 and 2, but nowhere else, those reels will hold in place for one respin of reels 3, 4 and 5, in hopes of trigger the feature.

Reels: 5×3 Paylines: 20 RTP: 96.29%
Where to Play: You can find the Monster Mash Cash Slot at all Microgaming powered online casinos, including Jackpot City and Royal Vegas.

Autumn Gold by Eyecon

Autumn Gold Online SlotsIf you like slots that are simple to understand and play, this one is a sure favorite. Autumn Gold, released by Eyecon in 2018, is a classic 3 reel game with the max number of 9 paylines. It’s packed with all the symbolic items of a beautiful fall day – from colorful leaves, pumpkins and acorns, to mushrooms, owls, and squirrels, to rain boots, umbrellas and homemade jam jars. Unlike most 3-reel classics, this one has features built in, too. The fall leaves are the scatter, awarding 8 free spins with triple payouts. You can even re-trigger the bonus up to 15 times. The umbrella is another scatter, activating the prize pick bonus for landing 3 anywhere on the reels. Prizes include instant credits wins of up to 111x the triggering bet per pick. Although the RTP on this one is a little below average, but Eyecon hit a bullseye with the cool autumn online slots theme.

Reels: 3×3 Paylines: 9 RTP: 95.41%
Where to Play: You can play the Autumn Gold Slot at all Eyecon powered online casinos, including 888 Casino.

Top live dealers casino websites for Canadians in 2020.

Passion for Payouts: Top Live Dealers Casino Sites for Canadians 2020

We’re kicking off the New Year with a fresh list of top-tier live casino operations welcoming Canadian players. Live dealer games are preferred for their realistic experience, closely mimicking that of a land-based casino – as close as you can possibly get on a computer or mobile device. There are real live dealers, operating real table games, with multiple real players joining in the action.

Here in Canada, we are limited in the number of online casinos we can play at. Some provinces are privy to locally-regulated gambling websites, but only two of them have live casino games. There are many more highly reputable and strictly regulated international offerings, but only so many have a good live dealer presentation.

Top Live Dealers Casino Sites for Canadians

Normally, a “top” list of anything has 3, 5, 10, or maybe 20 of the best whatever you’re listing. I’m going out of the box with this list and giving you the “Top 4”. Yes, four of Canada’s best live casinos in 2020. Why four? Because I couldn’t possibly cut this list down to three, and there really isn’t a fifth worthy of inclusion.

I’m also not giving the operators a number ranking. I don’t feel that any one is better than another. They all have differentiating qualities that earned them a spot on this list. For instance, the first two, PlayNow and PlayOLG, are both home-grown operations. Then again, they’re ring-fenced to their local provinces, limiting who can access them. The second two, LeoVegas and Royal Vegas, are open to all Canadians, but present very different live gaming options. With that being said, let’s get right to it…

PlayNow Live Casino – BC and Manitoba Only

PlayNow is a great iGaming operation built, maintained and regulated by the provincial government of British Columbia. Through a player sharing contract with the BCLC, Manitoba residents are also able to partake in PlayNow’s internet gambling activities. For residents of these jurisdictions, the degree of security and player protections can’t be beat.

The PlayNow Live Casino is powered by the industry’s #1 Live Casino brand, Evolution Gaming, and includes live blackjack, infinite blackjack, baccarat, eSqueeze baccarat, roulette, auto roulette and ultimate Texas holdem. That’s not a bad assortment, but it doesn’t include any of Evolution’s immensely popular game show-style productions.

EspaceJeux Live Casino – Quebec Only

Similarly, Espacejeux is the online gambling operation of Loto-Quebec – home grown and locally regulated by that provincial government. As such, security and safety are unquestionable, but only residents of Quebec can sign up an account and place wagers. That’s good for Quebecois, as is the implementation of Evolution Gaming’s world class live dealer software. On the negative side, the only live games are standard blackjack and roulette, baccarat, and Control Squeeze baccarat.

LeoVegas Live Casino – All Canadians Accepted

LeoVegas is an internationally operated casino brand, regulated in multiple jurisdictions. LeoVegas is licensed in its home country of Sweden, and also holds gaming licenses from Denmark and Malta. It is powered by more software brands than I’d care to count; somewhere in the neighborhood of 50. Several of those software studios offer live casino games. As such, this website presents, by far, the largest live gaming menu of any competitor.

There are – and bear in mind, some of these numbers will appear as duplicates due to multi-categorization – 48 live roulette games, 31 live blackjack games, 18 types of “card games”, 16 private Chambre Séparée (high roller) tables, 16 “VIP” tables, 11 live baccarat tables, 7 live “game show” style options, and 5 live poker variants; 23 of which are ‘Fast Play’ titles.

Royal Vegas Live Casino – All Canadians Accepted

There are some who would argue that “less is more”. By this, I mean having so many options – as many as LeoVegas presents – can make it harder to actually pick one. It’s not just a theory, but a scientific fact. Studies have shown that being offered chocolate, vanilla or strawberry ice cream makes it easy to pick one, whereas 30+ flavors can actually cause stress, anxiety, and an accelerated heart rate. Why such difficulty? People tend to fear that they won’t (or didn’t) choose the best option, and it leaves a bad taste in their mouth – pardon the pun.

If you prescribe to this ideal, then I present to you Royal Vegas Canada. Licensed in Malta, this operator only employs one live casino supplier, but it’s the world’s best – also proven by statistical data – Evolution Gaming.

Evolution has won the eGR Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award for the last 10 years straight. It’s almost as if they’ve figured out the perfect formula for live dealers casino games, and they’ve kept it as confidential as Mr. Krab’s secret formula for the “Krabby Patty”.

Royal Vegas accepts players from all over Canada. It’s also one of the few international sites that is approved to process payments via Interact eTransfer. Live casino games include blackjack, roulette, double ball roulette, baccarat, casino holdem, 3 card poker, Caribbean stud poker, private tables, game show tables, and their signature “Party” tables.

Microgaming procures games for Quickfire platform from Canada online slots maker, Old Skool Studios.

Microgaming Employs Canada Online Slots Maker Old Skool Studios

For 25 long and illustrious years, Microgaming has enjoyed the elite status of being the internet gambling industry’s oldest and most reputable digital software firm. The company has produced and distributed internet slot machines, table games and other wager-based amusements since 1994, building upon the world’s most comprehensive desktop and mobile iGaming platform. They call it Quickfire, and it’s employed by more than one thousand online casino website operators.

On the very opposite end of that spectrum is a small, little-known company by the name of Old Skool Studios. Like Microgaming, this firm too produces digital gambling software of the highest quality. Such high quality, in fact, that this minuscule firm attracted the notice of Microgaming, earning itself a rightful place in the coveted Quickfire portfolio.

Microgaming Employs Canada Online Slots Maker

Microgaming’s Quickfire platform is already loaded with four titles direct from this hometown studio. Following a contract with the Isle of Man iGaming juggernaut in 2016, Old Skool wasted no time installing its first installment, a steampunk game known as Epic City. In early 2017, a classic detective mystery, La Rouge, was added. A few months later came an interactive skill+chance game, Jewel Quest Riches, followed by their latest release, Temperance, in mid 2018.

Play Online Slot Machines from Canada Firm, Old Skool Studios

According to Old Skool Studios, each of these games has its own niche-target appeal. La Rouge and its Starlite Bonus showcase their creative storytelling capabilities. The skill-based elements in Jewel Quest Riches offers a superior level of engagement. Epic City’s Power Bonus draws players in with an unparalleled degree of immersion. Temperance is equipped with a unique Pachinko Gamble feature that highlights differentiation between games.

Why Haven’t we Heard of Old Skool Studios?

Old Skool hasn’t made a big name for itself in the digital entertainment industry. It’s not because they haven’t been around for years, nor because they haven’t produced a variety of premier quality content, but rather because almost everything they produce gets published under another company’s logo.

Old Skool Studios have been in business since 2011. We as players may not be familiar with the name, but other iGaming businesses sure are. Their long list of clients include social gaming giants like Zynga and GameHouse, major iGaming brands like LeoVegas, Mr. Green, and Unibet, and software distributors like Microgaming, IGS and Neowiz. They were even contracted by Microsoft in 2013 to develop three steampunk apps for Windows Mobile.

What surely impressed Microgaming the most was Old Skool’s focus on the player experience. The Old Skool team believes that, while it’s true “good games start with solid math”, a more important factor is that “great games also start with a strong narrative”. As such, the company strategy is to engage customers with great games that “immerse, entertain, and give you reasons to come back”.

Play Real Online Slot Machines from Canada

Who knew you could play online slot machines from Canada, in Canada, at Microgaming powered gaming sites? According to local laws, no company with offices in Canada can provide real money iGaming services inside Canada without authorization from the province in which those games are available. Old Skool skirts this clause because it’s not directly offering the games to Canadian players.

This company is only manufacturing the digital games. They then sell those games to offshore companies – companies with no physical presence in Canada – letting those companies offer them to Canadians (and players everywhere else Microgaming casinos are available).

Red Tiger Gaming is preparing early for St Patrick’s Day 2019 with new Jack in a Pot Slot.Red Tiger prepping early for St Paddy's Day with New Jack in a Pot Slot

I’ve heard a lot of clever puns from manufacturers of slot machines when titling their creations. Red Tiger Gaming’s latest has to be among the top 5 in terms of inciteful humor. Its new Jack in a Pot online slot is meant to deliver the message that there’s a big “jackpot” to be had, while playing on the more recognizable phrase ‘Jack in a box‘, and for some (including myself), bringing a chuckle as memories of an old Saturday Night Live Christmas episode, starring Justin Timberlake, come to mind…

It’s doubtful Red Tiger thought of that last one. More likely, the creative minds in the digital gaming lab thought of a great way to kick off 2019 holidays with a St Patrick’s Day theme, based around as many casino luck charms as they could think of, and ran with it.

Jack in a Pot went live at online casinos in mid November. Its placement in casino lobbies isn’t too high at the moment, with St. Paddy’s Day being just over two months away. But no doubt, once the Christmas season and New Years are behind us, it’s going to soar much higher on each casino’s list of recommended games.

New Jack in a Pot Slot by Red Tiger Gaming

Like I said, good luck charms were at the center of the designer’s focus when building this new holiday game. They started with a trio of lucky 7s. Instead of the usual 5-reel setup, Jack in a Pot has a massive 7×7 reel grid, with a max payout of 70,000 coins.

Try your Casino Luck on Jack in a PotThe game, set on an Irish hillside, is hosted by Jack the Leprechaun and his shimmering pot of gold. Lucky symbols include a golden four leaf clover, the leprechaun’s shoe, horseshoe, green bow tie, spade, heart, diamond, club and sphere. All symbols have a tendency to stack, and payouts aren’t just based on left-to-right combinations, but clusters (adjacent symbols) of 5 or more.

There are four Wild symbols in the game—pint of beer, magic pipe, leprechaun’s hat and rainbow. Each has a different effect when it appears in a winning cluster.

Beer Reels: When a beer wild appears in a winning combination, it opens the beer taps above all reels involved in the win. Similar to a re-spin, all symbols on those reels are changed, potentially producing another win.

Magic Pipe: When the pipe wild joins in a winning cluster, Jack will blow his magical pipe, causing one or more high-end symbols on the reels to expand into mega-tiles of 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4.

Rainbow Swaps: When the rainbow wild takes part in a win, a giant rainbow shines upon the reels, randomly swapping out positions for matching symbols.

Hat Trick: When the hat wild generates a win, Jack tosses his hat into the air. All the low-end symbols are sucked from the reels into the hat, potentially creating big wins as the remaining symbols fall into place.

The Real Casino Luck Begins in Free Spin Frenzy

As interesting as all those wild features are, the real luck comes when players trigger the free spins feature. This is done by landing 4 Clover Leaf scatters (all 4 leaves of a clover) anywhere on the reels in the base game.

During free spins, all wilds that appear on the screen are collected. Then, just after the last free spin, the Frenzy Feature activates. All the wilds that were collected during free games will trigger their special effect, one after another.

You can try out the new Jack in a Pot Slot at LeoVegas and other online casinos that employ Red Tiger Gaming’s software.

Yggdrasil releases new Nitro Circus Online Slot.

Yggdrasil Blasts Away the Competition with Nitro Circus Online SlotThe wait is finally over! Yggdrasil‘s first contractually branded online slot machine, Nitro Circus, was released today, November 20, 2018. The game depicts the biggest stars and actual footage from the popular daredevil stunt tour, and it’s now available in a compact 5×3 reel, 25 payline version that’s blasting away the competition on desktop and mobile.

Branded Online Slots All the Rage

Only the industry’s largest and most recognized companies have been delving into the branded online slots business for the last few years.

Microgaming brought us games like Tomb Raider, Phantom of the Opera, and Halloween, based on the original John Carpenter horror classic. Playtech built online slots mimicking things like Top Gun, Grease, and all your favorite Terminator movies. NetEnt has the largest portfolio of branded slots, spanning television, film, and musical talents like Jimi Hendrix, Guns and Roses, and Spinal Tap.

Yggdrasil has followed in the footsteps of all these great creators. They’ve entered the digital slots arena with a mobile-centric template, focusing on superior graphics, animations, and innovative features—all of the things that made their largest rivals so successful. Now, they’ve taken a huge leap, being the smallest iGaming software company in history to get ink on the paper alongside a major production company. And boy-oh-boy did they choose a good one!

Nitro Circus Online Slot is Here!

After months of rumors and speculations, we finally got a crack at the new Nitro Circus Slot this morning. I’d have to say its energy level matches that of the televised series, but not the live experience. I’m not sure anything could match the experience of visiting their live show!

The main cast of characters are present, as are their favorite stunt items—rocking horse, LazyBoy, bathtub on wheels. Oh yes, it’s all included! Nitro Circus is packed with so many features, it almost plays more like a video game than a slot machine.

In the base game, you can hit winning combinations the usual way – lining up matching symbols left to right. At the same time, you’re collecting items that lead to special features. 5 Rocking Horses, Recliners, Mini Cars or Bathtubs will trigger 1 Nitro Jump in that “vehicle”. Landing all the letters of the word N-I-T-R-O in one spin awards the full Nitro Jump, complete with vehicle selection and a trio of practice jumps that award special items.

With vehicle selection, you’ll actually have some control over the feature. There are three vehicle stats—tricks, boost and size. Tricks award more coins (credits), boost gives a higher chance of a good prize multiplier, and the larger the vehicle, the more items you’re likely to collect from the air during jumps. All the items you collect will be used on the final jump, where the real prizes are awarded.

There’s a lot more to this game as far as cinematics and features go, but I don’t want to give away too much. If you’re already a member of any Yggdrasil-powered online casinos, such as LeoVegas, log in and give it a go. If not, you can demo the Nitro Circus Online Slot for free at

NoLimit City’s new Dungeon Quest lauded as RPG Slot.

NoLimit City's new Dungeon Quest lauded as RPG Slot – Not even close!I’ve always been an avid gamer. Growing up, I played video games. My whole family, dating back to my grandfather’s purchase of the original Atari (and several models thereafter) have been video gamers. We love them—always have, always will. My personal favorite has always been RPGs—role playing games—the ones that immerse you in a deep story that goes on for hundreds of hours of game play.

Now, as an adult, I still play video games in my spare time. But, as many of you know, I’m also an avid player of online slot machines. Needless to say, when I heard today that Swedish games developer NoLimit City was releasing an RPG-style online slot machine, I got very excited!

The creator’s dramatic promotional video for the new Dungeon Quest Slot boasts:

Enter the dungeon… Four heroes… In a quest for epic loot”

Again, very exciting! I couldn’t wait to try it out. Now bear in mind, I was not expecting the game to be full-on RPG. That just doesn’t meld with slot mechanics. But at the least, I was hoping for detailed characters, a conceivable backstory, and some features that play into the RPG theme. Sad to say, the new Dungeon Quest online slot comes nowhere close to that.

Review of Dungeon Quest Slot

Okay, here’s a quick rundown of the game and features. Dungeon Quest has a 5×7 reel grid with 29 paylines. Its symbols are all colorful Ore and Gems. There are four colors of Ore, and the same for color of Gems. The gems are refined ore, embedded in nice gold encasement. Obviously, the Ore are the low-paying symbols, and Gems the high-paying variety.

New Dungeon Quest Slot by NoLimit City

The 29 paylines are more unique than most. They pay for adjacent matching symbols, left to right, or right to left, but the symbols do not have to start at the far left or right. Three adjacent matching symbols on reels 2-3-4 will also payout their respective prize.

As for features, there are two that can be triggered at random, plus a scatter-activated free spins bonus (so they say).

Power Stone: The Power Stone is a random feature that can trigger after any spin. When it does, a massive black stone falls somewhere on the reels, covering a 2×2 space. All of those spaces become wild. Additionally, all occurrences of one low-paying symbol will also turn wild.

Gem Forge: Another random feature, Gem Forge can activate before a spin. When it does, one color ore is chosen. Each occurrence of that ore turns into the higher-paying Gem of that same color.

Alchemy Spins: The black orb is the scatter in Dungeon Quest. They can only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5. When 3 appear in a single spin, it triggers the game’s Alchemy Spins, in which players receive 4 free spins. For each spin, one color symbol will automatically turn into all wilds. Those wilds will hold in place for the remainder of the free spins, with the potential to cover the entire board in wilds and unleash the ‘epic loot’ extolled in the promotional material.

The Real Deal – Not an RPG Slot!

Wanting to know what this game was really about before I put any money in it, I logged into LeoVegas and pulled up the new Dungeon Quest Slot, choosing to play in demo mode. I’m sure glad I did, because in just 100 spins, at the default $0.60 per spin, I lost 60 fake dollars (see image above).

About 25-30% of the spins were actually winners, and only 5 of those won more than the $0.60 wager per spin. The highest was $2 and change, when I struck the Power Stone feature. Aside from lack of pays, I was even more disappointed in the lack of creativity.

Where is the RPG functionality here? Where’s the plot? They are non-existent. The characters, although thoughtfully rendered, are nothing more than a side decoration. And, to be fair, I did go back (just now) and run the game, in practice mode of course, for 500 more spins. I still didn’t trigger any free spins.

In my honest opinion, the new Dungeon Quest Slot is nothing but a disappointment all around. It is not what NoLimit Product Owner, Per Lindheimer, described. It does not mimic “old school roll-playing games”. It’s hardly an “adventure game”. It is, in no way shape or form, an RPG slot machine.

It’s been one busy week for King of Mobile Casino LeoVegas!

The team behind LeoVegas Casino has been awfully busy in the last week. On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, the company announced its intention to acquire Royal Panda Casino, a major competitor in the UK mobile casino sector. Two days later, the management team was in attendance at the 2017 EGR Operator Awards in London, where they proudly accepted the title of Mobile Casino Product of the Year.

King of Mobile Casino LeoVegas

Things are looking straight up for LeoVegas these days. That’snothing new, though. The company has been on an upward streak ever since the Swedish office opened in 2012. In the last five years, their goals have been steadily deployed, and easily exceeded.

The acquisition of Royal Panda will no doubt meet those goals. The utmost mission for the oft-lauded King of Mobile Casino is to expand its presence, especially in the UK, and especially in the mobile sector.

King of Mobile Casino LeoVegas: Lion takes on Panda

In a press release issued Tuesday, it was confirmed that LeoVegas AB has completed negotiations to purchase Royal Panda’s parent company, Web Investments Limited. The price includes dual payments of €60 million upfront, and another €60 million when the deal is finalized ( on or before December 1, 2017), so long at Royal Panda meets specific criteria.

In order to receive the second €60 million payment, Royal Panda must achieve the following revenue generation prior to the deadline:

  • Meet or exceed Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) of €50 million
  • Meet or Exceed UK-derived NGR of €34 million
  • Meet or exceed EBITDA of €15 million
  • Meet or exceed UK-derived EBITDA of €5 million

Royal Panda Casino Worthy of LeoVegas Demands?

King of Mobile Casino LeoVegas to acquire Royal Panda CasinoAs things stand, Royal Panda should have no trouble meeting the criteria detailed above. The digital casino product earned more than 50% of its Q3-17 revenue from UK clients. Plus, 65% percent of their overall yield came from mobile. From Q3-16 to Q3-17, the company grew at an enormous rate, with revenue rising 61% to €9.8 million.

Gustaf Hagman, CEO of the LeoVegas Group, had no doubts when he issued the following statement about their upcoming investment.

Royal Panda has in a short time built up an efficient business with an exciting and strong brand. This is a major acquisition that we are carrying out following a carefully executed process. With the help of the strong symbolic value in the panda, the company has built a premium brand among gamers, and we will complement LeoVegas with Royal Panda. This gives us two great brands with global appeal, which makes the scalability in the continued growth strong while strengthening our position in the UK.”

Assimilation in the Cards for Royal Panda?

The plan seems to be to keep the two entities separate. LeoVegas Casino and Royal Panda will remain on their own platforms. As for live casino gaming, each will maintain their own bespoke private tables, at least for the time being. That could certainly change in the future, with the option to reduce costs and raise brand awareness by sharing private tables.

Such tandems in the live dealer sector have been successfully maneuvered by other companies in the past, including enterprises of the Betsson Group, Clubhouse by GVC, and Paddy Power Betfair.

There’s also heightened potential for Royal Panda to sign agreements with additional software brands. The King of Mobile Casino LeoVegas earned its stellar reputation in part by integrating 39 software brands to date. Royal Panda currently employs 10 software groups, 8 of which are already found in the LeoVegas portfolio.

Rocket Roulette: New Live Roulette from NetEnt features ‘Play for Fun’

Rocket Roulette - Live Roulette from NetEntNetEnt is renowned for being among the foremost developers of superior 3D slots for desktop and mobile. When a new game is introduced, we expect it to have reels, paylines and superb graphics. This month, NetEnt is launching a new addition to their Live Casino portfolio.

It’s a brand new live roulette game called Rocket Roulette. The concept is—for the most part—similar to recent live roulette additions by other major iGaming software brands, wherein the speed of the game is its most popular attraction.

Speed of Rocket Roulette by NetEnt

As far as rules and pay tables go, this live roulette table is no different than any other game of European Roulette. However, as the name implies, Rocket Roulette is all about increasing the speed, with shorter betting times and faster payouts, quickly moving on to the next round.

How does Rocket Roulette stack up to the speed roulette games introduced by rival developers? Not too well, actually.

This version from NetEnt boasts a next round of play about every 40 seconds. That’s pretty quick, but comparatively speaking, you can find faster live roulette games. Playtech‘s Speed Roulette provides a spin frequency of every 34 seconds, while Evolution Gaming‘s version is the absolute fastest at just 26 seconds.

Where NetEnt Destroys the Competition

Although much faster than a typical game of live roulette, you may not be too impressed with Rocket Roulette’s statistics thus far. But there’s one thing this new live casino game brings to the table that no competitor can. Players can actually join in the action for free, without a real cash bankroll.

NetEnt is giving new players at the Rocket Roulette tables a chance to “Play for Fun”. Unlike RNG-based online casino games, this is one area where live casino tables don’t deliver. Due to a maximum seating capacity, live games are never offered for free play. But this one is.

Players won’t get to sit in on the Rocket Roulette games forever without risking real money, though. This is a limited-play offer from NetEnt, and will expire after the specified number of free plays are depleted. According to the live roulette game’s ‘Play for Fun‘ rules:

  • New Live Casino players may have the option to play for fun. When playing for fun players are granted a defined number of play for fun game rounds. When the play for fun game rounds are depleted the player will be asked to play at a ‘real’ game table.

  • Players can change to a ‘real’ game table at any time by clicking the ‘CLICK TO PLAY FOR REAL’ button when playing for fun.

  • When playing for fun players are granted a ‘fun’ balance that will refresh automatically when depleted. The play for fun game balance and game rounds are non-transferable.

  • When playing for fun the game history function is disabled.

Where to Play Rocket Roulette

NetEnt supplies its live dealer tables to a multitude of reputable online casino operators. Being so new, some NetEnt-powered casinos are still waiting to update their game menus with Rocket Roulette. For now, you will find it available at two major iGaming brands, 888 and LeoVegas.

The update to the live casino game software was released this week on LeoVegas Mobile Casino. It will hit other Evolution-powered online and mobile casino brands, like Royal Vegas, on Wednesday, July 12.

Live Dream Catcher Wheel Features Auto-Play

The Dream Catcher live casino game is akin to the ‘Big Money Wheel‘ found in land-based casinos. Even if you’re familiar with it, chances are, unless you knew the update was coming, you didn’t even notice the addition of the new auto-play function.

There was no big announcement made by Evolution, and it’s only a small icon that appears in the game’s bottom right corner, below the ‘recent winning numbers’ area. It looks like a looping arrow, indicating a repetitive action. But unless you hover your mouse over it, or tap it on your mobile device, you’d probably never guess what it does.

When you press the auto-play button, a control panel pops up asking you to enter some basic criteria, like what number(s) to bet on, the amount you’d like to wager per play, and how many spins you’d like the bet to repeat for. The number of auto-plays appears on a sliding scale, with 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 marked for easy selection.

Once you’ve made your selections, press the Start button on the control panel and let the auto-betting begin! The screen will continue to indicate the number(s) you’ve bet on, the size of the bet, and how many spins of the Dream Catcher Wheel remain to be played.

Dream Catcher Basic Gameplay

For those unfamiliar with Live Dream Catcher Wheel, it’s a simple premise. The game plays out like a TV game show. A live host, equipped with a microphone, keeps the entertainment level high while players make their selections. The host then spins the wheel, and announces the number or multiplier it lands on.

The wheel features 52 segments, depicting the numbers 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or 40. Two of the slots contain multipliers of 2x or 7x. Players choose one or more numbers to bet on, and the amount to bet per number. If the wheel lands on a selected number, the player wins a prize equal to that selected number (2-to-1 for a 2, 5-to-1 for a 5, etc).

If the wheel lands on a 2x or 7x multiplier, all bets are lost for that spin. However, the next round of play will pay all winning bets according to the multiplier. So, if 7x hits, and a player wins on a 5 on the following spin, the payout would be (5*7) 35x the bet.

Evolution Live Casino Games

Ezugi Live Casino Hold'em DemoLive casino software supplier Ezugi may not be as large or famous as its biggest rivals, like Evolution Gaming, Microgaming or Playtech, but they’re sure trying to get there. In mid-April, the firm launched a new Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker (aka Live Casino Hold’em) table from its studio in Bulgaria, and it’s been quite the hit with live dealer fans.

A house-banked versions of the popular Texas Hold’em poker game, played solely against the dealer, Live Casino Hold’em has developed a loyal fan base with card game enthusiasts. I’ve played the table at least four times now, and I’ve never seen under 10 players at the table.

Ezugi’s version is optimal for live dealer gaming, with fast-paced hands and a reliable platform that offers clean visuals and uninterrupted game play.

Live Casino Hold’em Rules

Ezugi Live Casino Hold'emThe rules of Live Casino Hold’em are fairly simple, especially if you’ve ever played Texas Holdem, and any other type of house-banked poker game, before.

Like Hold;em, it’s a Hole-Card/Community-Card based game. Players place an Ante bet to get started, for which they receive two hole cards and a look at the 3-card Flop.

From here, the player can Fold (forfeit the Ante), or place a Call bet, equal to 2x the Ante. Note that, because this is a live table with other players partaking in the same hand, if any player folds, the hand will still be dealt to completion.

Once all Call bets are placed, the two remaining community cards are dealt, completing the player’s hand. The dealer’s hand is revealed, and the two are compared. Standard poker hand ranks apply to determine the winner.

From here, there are three things that can happen:

If the player’s hand beats the dealers hand, the player’s Ante bet is paid according to the Live Casino Hold’em Ante Pay Chart (see right).

If the dealer’s hand qualifies with a Pair of 4s or better, and the player’s hand is higher than the dealer, the player will also receive an even payout on the Call Bet.

If the dealer’s hand beats the player’s hand, the Ante and Call bets are both lost and the hand is over.

Live Casino Hold’em Bonus Bet & Pays

Live Casino Hold’em also allow players to wager a Bonus Side Bet.

This is an optional wager that only pays out if the player’s hand qualifies. The lowest winning Bonus hand is a Pair of Aces. The payouts range anywhere from 7 to 1, up to 100 to 1. See the Live Casino Hold’em Bonus Pay Chart on the right for more information.

Bonus bets are paid irrespective of whether the player’s hand beats the dealer’s or not. If a player loses the hand with a Flush, they will lose the Ante and Call bet, but will still be paid the Bonus bet payout of 20 to 1.

Ezugi Live Casino Games

Ezugi has been around for many years, but didn’t truly gain fame until the group inked a contract last year to launch the first US-based live dealer tables at the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Ezugi streams live casino games of baccarat, blackjack, and roulette from multiple studios in Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Costa Rica and New Jersey. For now, Ezugi’s Live Casino Hold’em tables are only available from its Bulgaria studio, and can be played 24/7 at LeoVegas.
